Duane E. Coplin, 65, of Marco Island, went to be with the Lord on February 15, 2009, surrounded by his family.

Formerly of Lansing, MI, he had been a winter resident for the past 11 years. After his retirement from the company he owned and operated in Lansing, Coplin Business Services, he became a permanent resident four years ago.

Duane served on the board of the Sands of Marco condominium association and various other boards. A very active member of Naples First Church of the Nazarene, he served on their board and was the treasurer of the church district. A member of the Rotary Club of Marco Island and a Paul Harris Fellow, he served as the club's co-treasurer.

Duane will be dearly missed by his family including his wife, Patricia; son, Jeffery D. (Carol) Coplin of Olivet, MI; daughter, Melissa A. Coplin of Lansing, MI; sister, Elaine (Jim) Baker of Battle Creek, MI; brother, Marvin (Linda) Coplin of Dunkirk, IN; grandchildren, Brittney, Andrea, and Troy; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, February 19, 2009 (TOMORROW) from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Fuller Funeral Home, 4735 Tamiami Trail East.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 20, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Entombment at Palm Royale Cemetery will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Duane's memory may be made to Naples First Church of the Nazarene, 3100 Bailey Lane, Naples, FL 34105 or the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 1332 North Halsted Street, Suite 201, Chicago, IL 60642.
