"... Reuben was a sea captain. He commenced sailing a packet boat from New York to Liverpool in 1801. Later he was a bank officer in New York. Both [Reuben and wife) are buried in Sag Harbor. No Children. He was small of Stature, had bright black eyes, and white hair; a man of wealth for those days and lived in Irving Place, New York City."
