Walterboro, Jan 22 [1937] - Mrs Mamie Galletly Thompson Padgett, sixty five, widow of Joel J Padgett, died unexpectedly at her home at Williams this morning following a brief illness.
Funeral services and interment will be held at Live Oak Cemetery Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock. The Rev H L F Shuler of Georgetown, the Rev J R Dennis, Lodge, and the Rev W A Beckham, Walterboro will be in charge of the services.
Surviving are three sons and two daughters, Joel J Padgett, county superintendent of education, Superintendent Robert G Padgett of the Ruffin schools, Clarence Earl Padgett, Williams, Mrs P H Goodings, Clemson College, Mrs J D O'Quinn, Ridgeland.
A twin brother, Robert Galletly Thompson, ?, and two sisters; Mrs Jessie Thompson Willis, Simpsonville, and Mrs Martha Thompson Cone, Lodge.
Mrs Padgett was a member of Williams Methodist Church.
