Cecil O'neil Bruce, age 87, of Plymouth at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice Center, Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin.
Cecil was born son of James and Mabel (Brewer) Bruce. He grew up with his brothers James and sisters Josephine "Jo" and LaVerne.
Cecil married the former Marie N. Linstedt of Plymouth.
With World War II looming, Cecil joined the United States Marine Corps, proudly serving his country in the Asiatic Pacific and Iceland until 1944.
Cecil was a quiet, hardworking man, who looked at life's challenges with a smile. He had a lifelong passion for hunting and fishing, and spent many happy times with family and friends in Northern Wisconsin, Montana, and Wyoming. He was a jack-of-all-trades and had the ability to fix just about anything. Through the years, he was known as an avid beekeeper and gardener, and especially enjoyed sharing his hobbies with friends and family.
Cecil is survived by his loving wife Marie; their four children, daughters, Jennifer Bruce and Peggy Cupp, Plymouth; sons, Lawrence (Mary) Bruce and Kenneth (Virginia) Bruce, Pleasant Prairie; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. A sister, LaVerne Karr, Oklahoma City.
His parents, his brother James and sisters Josephine Burgoon and Vita Bruce, and his son-in-law Charles Cupp preceded him in death.
Burial will be in the Greenbush Cemetery.
