Paskenta Man Passes Away in Apartment Here
Joseph V. UHL passed away at his apartment on Houghton avenue, Corning, this morning at one o'clock as a result of several weeks illness from heart trouble.
All his life Mr. Uhl spent in the Paskenta section where he was born May 15, 1880. Surviving are the wife, Mrs. Orphea Uhl, two sons, Orel L. and Marion B., of Paskenta; one daughter, Mrs. H. C. Luce, of Flournoy; one brother, George Uhl, of Paskenta, and two half brothers, Harry Miller, of Paskenta, and Warren Miller of Red Bank; three sisters, Mrs. A. C. Burrows, of Orland, Mrs. J. J. Wright of Lakeport, and Mrs. Lillian Todd, of Grimes.
Mr. Uhl comes from a pioneer family and had many friends in Western Tehama county, where he had made his livelihood by ranching.
The body is at the Corning Mortuary where it will remain until funeral services are held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Paskenta cemetery, where interment will be made in the family plot.

Uhl Funeral at Graveside in Paskenta
All that remained mortal of Joseph V. Uhl, native of the Paskenta section, was laid to rest in the Paskenta Cemetery yesterday afternoon with impressive services, officiated over by Rev. Robert L. Schock of the Christian church.
Many floral tributes were banked on the casket and at the graveside from admiring friends of a good man, cut down in the prime of life.
Mr. Uhl passed away in Corning Wednesday morning after an illness of several weeks. - Transcribed by M.
