Edward B. Hodges died Monday at HCA Putnam Community Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born in Nahunta, Ga., and had lived in Palatka since 1945. He was a retired signalman with Seaboard Coastline Railroad. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Palatka, Palatka Masonic Lodge 34 F&AM, the Morocco Temple and was past president of the Putnam County Shrine Club.
He is survived by his wife, Sara H. Hodges of Palatka; son, T. Edward Hodges of Palatka; one granddaughter.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka with the Rev. Charles T. Rabun Jr. officiating. Burial will be Wednesday at Palatka Memorial Gardens. (Palatka Daily News Obituary dtd 28 Dec 1993.)
