Mrs Mary Emiline Miller, 65, died last night at her home on rural route No 6. She was a lifelong resident of St Joseph. Mrs Miller was a member of the Church of God Seventh Day.

She is survived by her husband, Owen S Miller of the home; nine daughters, Mrs Goldie Perks, De Kalb; Mrs Bertha Todd, Elwood, Kan., Miss Dollie Miller and Miss Rose Marie Miller, of the home, and Mrs Leona Harness, Mrs Frances Smith, Mrs Martha DeWeese, Mrs Anna Parker, and Mrs Mary Alice Broce, all of St Joseph; three sons, Melvin Miller of the home, and Sylvester Miller and Theodore Miller, St Joseph; 40 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The body is at the Rupp mortuary. (From St Joseph News-Press April 23, 1959)

Funeral services for Mrs Mary Emiline Miller will be at 2 pm Friday in the Rupp chapel. Elder Haskel Hawkins will officiate and burial will be in King Hill Cemetery.

In addition to those listed earlier she is survived by a brother, Elmer Hockaday, and a sister, Mrs. Martha Glenn, St. Joseph. (From St Joseph Gazette April 24, 1959)
