The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, February 13, at Brush Creek Baptist Church, 5345 Airport Road, Bear Creek with Rev. Ed Lowder, Rev. Patrick Fuller and Dr. Al Martiin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Lane was born September 23, 1922, the daughter of Ivor Birch and Ada (Myrick) Caviness.
Mrs. Lane was a native of Chatham County and retired from Glendale Hosiery. She was a member of Brush Creek Baptist and a member of the Bessie Gilbert Sunday School Class.
Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Lane; brothers, Joe and Jack Caviness and a sister, Dorothy Ruth Caviness.
She is survived by one daughter, Judy Lane of the home; one sister, Frances Spivey of Bear Creek, N.C.; step-sister, Emogene Phillips and husband, Robie of Siler City, N.C.; step-brothers, John Brooks of Ramseur, N.C. and Bob Brooks and wife, Betty of Siler City, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
