The death of Mrs. Jesse Abshire, 39, occurred in the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Bish, one mile north of Chili Thursday afternoon after several weeks illness resulting from an operation for goitre from which she had never recovered.
Mrs. Abshire had made her home in the Bish home for five years before her marriage and had gone there for a visit had become ill and could not be removed to her own home.
The funeral was held at the First Brethren church in Roann, Saturday.
