The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wood Funeral Home Chapel in Bogata. Services will be at 4 p. m. Wednesday, October 17, in Delta Funeral Home Chapel in Cooper with the Rev. Billy Daniels officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Delta Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lawson was born January 16, 1938, in Red River County to T. J. and Belle Gurley Lovell. She married Luther Lawson, April 2, 1958, in Bogata.
Surviving are four daughters, Sue Fails of Wilmer, Loriane Land and Gale Kilgore, both of Bogata, and Kay Lawson of Corsicana; a sister, Betty Whitaker of Bogata; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Luther Lawson, Junior, September 12, 1987.
