Mrs. Lackey Dead
The many friends of Mrs. Mary A. Lackey, were shocked Friday morning, when the news spread that she had passed away during the night, a fact that was entirely unexpected even by those who lived in the home with her.
Mrs. Lackey was born in Indiana, Sept. 1st, 1839, and at the time of her death was 78 years, 3 months and 20 days old. She came to Reno county with her husband William Lackey in 1877 and has lived here ever since. Her husband passed away in April 1910.
The funeral services were held on Monday at 11 a.m. from the Catholic church in Castleton, conducted by the Priest from Hutchinson, and interment was made in the Catholic cemetery.
