SAMUEL B. AITKEN
GYPSUM -- The funeral for Samuel B. Aitken, 89, will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the United Methodist Church, Gypsum, the Rev. Robert Hazen, officiating. Burial will be in the Gypsum Cemetery.
Mr. Aitken died Thursday at home in Gypsum.
He was born June 30, 1890, at Tilden, Ill., and was a lifetime resident of Gypsum. He was a retired rural mail carrier, a member of the American Legion and served with the military police in World War 1.
Surviving are his wife, Henrietta Maye, of the home; a son, John K. Aitken, Gypsum; a daughter, Ruth Mariam Hasker, Camdenton, Mo.; a brother, James W. Aitken, Seattle, Wash., three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
