Edward Storey, third son of Anthony, was born at Spartanburg, SC in 1772 and married Margaret Thompson in Spartanburg in 1795. They moved to Jackson County, Georgia around 1800. He was a charter member and an elder of the Thyatira Presbyterian Church. He moved later to Newnan, Georgia, and is buried there. Margaret Thompson was the daughter of John and Margaret Ann Wallace Thompson.

They had nine children: John Thompson, Anthony Farris (died in infancy), William Fergus, Margaret Thompson, Nancy Cantor, Sarah Farris, Richard Addison, Edward Madison and Alonzo Groves.
