Nina Ramsey Spokane
Visitation for Nina M. Ramsey, a longtime resident of Lincoln and Whitman counties, will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Strate Funeral Home in Wilbur, Wash. Funeral is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday at the Wilbur Presbyterian Church.
Burial will follow at the Wilbur Cemeteiy. Mrs. Ramsey, who was born in Creston, died Sunday. She was 91. She graduated from Creston High School, and attended Washington State University and Cheney Normal School.
In 1931 she married Claude Ramsey. Mrs. Ramsey taught first and second grades in Clayton, and was a substitute teacher in the Wilbur School District for several years. She was a member of Wilbur Presbyterian Church, Tuscan Chapter 64 of the Order of Eastern Star and a charter member of the Wilbur Grange. Her husband died in 1998.
She had been living at the North Central Care Center in Spokane. Survivors include three daughters, Connie Finch of Wilbur, Darlene Jensen of Prineville, and Claudia Deresh of Bonnyville, Alberta; six grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wilbur Ambulance Fund.
