Retired Carpenter Expires

Joseph T. Cochran, 101, of East Freedom, RD 1, formerly of Oak Avenue, died at 12:40 a.m. Monday, Feb. 20, 1984, in the home after an extended illness.

Mr. Cocharn retired as a stone mason and carpenter from the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1953. He also retired as a self-employed carpenter.

He was born Nov. 2, 1882, in Carson Valley, the son of Peter and Margaret (Ott) Cochran and married Annie Bell Young, who died July 5, 1941.

Surviving are six daughters: Stella Delozier of Covington, VA; Helen Olewine, with whom he resided; Myrtle Anderson of Beaver Falls, Margaret Spitzer of Spring Hill, FL; Marie Peters of Rochester, PA; and Betty King of Lanham, MD; many grandchildren, and a number of great-grandchildren.

Mr. Cochran was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Friends will be recieived from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Donald E. Liebegott Funeral Home, Duncansville.

COCHRANE - Services for Joseph T. Cochran of Box 178, East Freedom, RD 1, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Donald E. Liebegott Funeral Home, Inc., Duncansville, by the Rev. George Wennerberg. Interment in Carson Valley Cemetery. Friends will be recieved Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home.
