Services 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006, Chapel-Johnson Funeral Home.
Visitation 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006, at Johnson Funeral Home.
Burial in Church Grove Cemetery, Newbern, TN.
Member of The Church of Christ and U.S. Army WWII Veteran.
Husband of Naomi Shelby of Newbern, TN; son of the late Josie (Weeks) Shelby and the late Willard Shelby; father-in-law of Suzanne Shelby of Dyersburg, TN; father of the late Danny Shelby, Steven Shelby (Laura) of Churchton, TN; brother of Mary Frances McIntosh of Dyersburg, TN, the late Lessie Younger, Harold Shelby and the late T.P. Shelby; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Minister, Bro. R.M. Palmer. Pallbearers, Larry Joe Maupin, Richard Shelby, Danny Shelby Jr., Gerald Younger, Jerry Shelby and Terry Shelby.
