Ann Kimbrel Evans, 75, of Panama City, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009, in her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born Aug. 13, 1933, in Courtland, Ala., and had been a resident of Panama City since 1953. She retired from West Florida Gas Co. after 30 years of service.

She is survived by her husband, Bussie Evans; son, Dr. B. Anthony Evans and wife, Melissa, of Panama City; daughter, Missy Evans Bagwell; four grandchildren, Tank Bagwell, Amanda Bagwell, Tyler Evans and Jeremy Evans; sister, Sue Dyar; special nephew, Gene Neal; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, in Greenwood Cemetery with Dr. Floyd Wright officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. today, Feb. 13, 2009, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial donations to Covenant Hospice, 107 W. 19th St., Panama City, FL 32405, in memory of Ann Evans. The family would like to thank Rena Slate and Jean Steele from Covenant Hospice and her special friends and caregivers, Annette Turntine and Juanita Jones, for their passionate care and support.
