Rick was born Aug. 5, 1943, in Cook County, Ill. He was a longtime resident of Green Bay and Iron Mountain, Mich. He was known for his musical talent as a bass guitar player and played locally in the Green Bay and Iron Mountain areas.
He is survived by his children, Debbie (Dave) Zenner, Gurnee, Ill., Cindy (Chris) Burgan, Powers Lake, and Rick (Kim) Barkle, Lake Villa, Ill.; five grandchildren; three sisters, Doris French, Chicago, Audrey Hauser Jones, Elmhurst, Ill., and Jeannie (Ray) Alleva, Kingsford, Mich.; and a sister-in-law, Eleanor (Larry) Barkle, Iron Mountain.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Josephine Cerideno Barkle Smeltzer; his sister, Ellen (Dick) Cerasoli; and brothers, Larry Barkle and Albert Barkle.

Funeral services at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 11, at the Steinke Funeral Home, Lake Geneva, with the Rev. Larry Williams officiating. Burial at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lake Geneva. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
