Last Rites for W.E. Beam

Last rites for the late W.E. Beam, who died Saturday evening were conducted at 3:00 PM Wednesday at the Konantz Chapel by Rev. Frank James. Mrs. Helen Selvey sang "Walk Thou With Me" and "When the Morning Dawns" and was accompanied by Mrs. Ben Daetwyler. The bearers were Jim Bonney, Earl Rutherford, Ray Wilson, Walter Harmon, Arthur Stoltz and W.C. McAdow.

"Barlow", as the old timers called W.E. Beam, was the eldest brother of our late townsman Dell Beam. J.C. Beam, the only surviving brother, was present from Cincinnati, Ohio, to attend the services as was a nephew, Troy Beam and wife from St. Joseph, Missouri and Mrs. Dell Beam of Tulsa, Okla.

Following the services at the chapel he was buried on the plot of his late father, Jacob Beam in Lake Cemetery.
