BRIGHAM CITY – Frances Anna Christensen, 76, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 in Brigham City, Utah.
She was born on January 8, 1932 in Trenton, Utah, a daughter of Merrill Ezra and Mina Thaete Funk.
Frances married Neil F. Christensen on September 3, 1952 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and in the Brigham City 22nd Ward.
Frances enjoyed painting, reading, flower gardening, genealogy and writing poetry.
Surviving is her husband, Neil, Brigham City; six children, Neil Christensen, JR., Brigham City; Anna Jean (Tom) Simmons, Wendell, ID; Colleen Parkinson, Hyrum; Ruth Powers, Perry; Bryce Christensen, Brigham City; Curtis (Melissa) Christensen, Roy; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, one sister, Ida Wilson, West Jordan. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Herman Funk.
Graveside services will be held at 12 Noon at the Brigham City Cemetery, 300 East 300 South.
Family will greet friends on Monday, December 8, 2008 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City.
