MILLARD L. BROWN, age 84, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at his residence.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.'s Wayne Kirk, Ronnie Horton and Mike Sells. Entombment will follow at Slater's Chapel Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Millard was born February 11, 1927 in Nolan, Texas to William Montgomery and Ennis L. Holcomb Brown. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He worked for U.S. Borax and Chemical Corporation as a heavy equipment operator for thirty six years before retiring. He was a member of First Assembly of God. He was a charter member of Good Sam Club.

He is survived by three sons, Morton Eugene Brown of Palmdale, California and Arlin Dean Brown of Boron, California; Jay Kinder of Bakersfield, California; and two daugthers, Toni Miller of Thousand Oaks, California; and Karen Storie of Lubbock, Texas; four step children, Steven Shriver of Indianapolis, Indiana; Sharon Thomas of Sullivan, Indiana; James Shriver of Anaheim, California; and Jane Forester of Riverside, California; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Montgomery and Ennis L. Brown; his wife, Helen L. Brown; and son, Millard Duane Brown.

Pallbearers will be Charles Boiles, Mike Sells, Michael Franks, Nathan Brown, William Brown and Drew Sells.
