Evan J. Carson, 82, a retired farmer, R1, Cicero, passed away Monday evening at the Sheridan Rest Home.Son of Joshua and Mary Jane Spidel Carson, he was born Jan. 24, 1883 in Hamilton County where he was a lifetime resident. He was married Jan. 24, 1917 to Lenna Inman. Her death occurred in 1958. The deceased was a member of the West Grove Friends Church and the Hortonville Brother and Sisterhood. Survivors include three daughters, Miss Reta Marie Carson, Sheridan; Mrs. Roberta Mendenhall, R.3 Sheridan; Mrs. Mary Alexander, Westfield; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, J. H. Carson, state of Washington; Raymond Carson, Cicero and a sister, Mrs. Lou Horton, Tennessee.
