Lloyd Laverne Alexander, 79, longtime Olustee resident, died Wednesday, April 26, 2000, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Private graveside services were held Saturday at the Olustee Cemetery with Sonny Tims officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
Alexander was born March 31, 1921, in Olustee, to Frank and Ruby (Lanning) Alexander. He was a mechanic for many years until he retired.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include: one brother, Harold Alexander of Altus; one sister, Eva Lee, also of Altus and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
