Mary Edith Grace Wright, daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Mary Elizabeth Beck Corman, was born near Nora, Nebr. Sept. 30, 1886, and departed this life on Oct. 31, 1954, at her home in Bird City, Kan., age 68 yrs., 1 mo. and 1 da.

She was baptized and became a member of the Methodist church (sic) early in life, and was a Christian woman, a devoted and loving wife and mother, a kind and helpful friend and neighbor.

She was united in marriage to James Wesley Wright of Nelson, Nebr., Dec. 23, 1909. To this union five children, two daughters and three sons, were born - Ruby Oletha, Mildred Allen, Bert Richard, Glenn LeRoy and Dorothy Mae.

They moved to Kansas from Nelson in March, 1919, and resided on their farm south of Bird City until January, 1946, when they moved into Bird City.

Mrs. Wright enjoyed the out-of-door life, such as gardening and fishing, and spent much of her time there until sickness prevented. She was a charter member of the Kanred Unit.

Mrs. Myrtle Kern of Gentry, Ark., has been her devoted companion and helpful nurse during the past ten and a half months.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Milfred and Glenn; one sister, Nancy and one brother, Frank.

Those who mourn her passing are her husband, James, three children, Ruby Meyer and Bert of Bird City and Dorothy Ewing of Colby, Kan.; two sons-in-law, Edwin Meyer and Kermit Ewing; one daughter-in-law, Viola; seven grandchildren; one sister, Mabel Ellison of Ft. Collins, Colo.; four brothers, Charley of Sabetha, Kan., Arthur and Harry of Superior, Nebr., and Grover of Nampa, Idaho; Mrs. Lillie Corman of Nelson, Nebr. besides many other relatives and friends.

Memorial services were held at the Bird City Methodist church (sic) with Rev. Robert D. Simison officiating. Burial was in Bird City cemetery (sic).
