Louise Cobb Beam West, 83, Kenwood Avenue, Cherryville, died Feb. 6, 2009.

She was preceded in death by her parents, the Rev. William Gurley and Lillian Akard Cobb; first husband, George D. Beam and second husband, Cline F. West.

Survivors include sons, George D. Beam III and Greg Beam, both of Cherryville; stepsons, Terry West of Rhode Island and Andrew West of Cherryville; stepdaughters, Linda Zrioka of Tennessee and Jennifer Krausse of Floyd's Knob, Ind.; sisters, Elizabeth Moser of Columbia, Tenn., Mildred Agner of Cherryville and Frances Powell of Mars Hill and grandchildren, Alice Ann Beam, Katy Beam and Courtney Beam, all of Cherryville.

She was employed as a payroll clerk with Carolina Freight Carriers.

A funeral service was held Sunday at St. John's Lutheran Church, where she was a member. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
