Samantha Jane Sams was the daughter of Nathan Sams. I had entered her DOB as Feb. 26, 1860 but unsure where that information came from.

Her father, Nathan Sams was married twice but we don't know Samantha's mother's name. She was from his first marriage.

She first married George Griswold, 17 Oct 1880. They were divorced.
from Martha Subject: Re: Samantha Jane Sams Griswold

Mrs. J. McClintock, Respected Pioneer, Passes at Her Home
The passing of Mrs. Jane McClintock at the age of 75 at her home about 10 o'clock last night has taken another of the old pioneers of this region. Mrs. McClintock was well known to the pioneer people of this vicinity where she had lived for many years. She has no near relatives known here, although it is believed she is survived by some half sisters and half brothers.
Mrs. McClintock was born on January 20, 1860 at Sharon, Iowa, her mother passing soon after her birth and she came west across the plains in company with her grandmother making Walla Walla her home. She came to this vicinity in 1886 and made her home with "Grandma" Haskell, continuing that as her home even after marrying Frank McClintock, Mrs. Haskell's son on November 8, 1889. Mr. McClintock died many years ago.
Funeral services will be held at the Clevenger Funeral Home tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Christian Science Society in charge.
