Mr. Adams was born in the Sikes Community in November, 1854, and resided his entire life in that section. He and his wife who preceded him in death, reared a large and useful family.
He is survived by the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Rosia Smith, Quitman; Miss Lizzie Adams, Sikes; Mrs. Clarence Griffin, Strong, Ark.; Mrs. Tom Griffin, Tuxno, La.; Watson Adams, Sikes; Chester Adams, Livingston, Texas; Dr. Adams, Cherokee, Ala.; and Ira Adams, Birmingham, Ala. He is also survived by a host of grandchildren and relatives.
