Marie Alice Hatherill a Prineville resident passed away on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009. She was 74 years of age. A graveside service will be held Monday, Feb. 9, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Juniper Haven Cemetery in Prineville, Oregon. A gathering will be held after the graveside service at Bob's home for family and friends at 2720 N. Main St. in Prineville.
Marie was born to Fred Bembry and Nellie (Zumwalt) Bembry on July 27, 5, 1934 in Bend, Oregon. Marie graduated from Sisters High School in Sisters, Oregon. Marie was raised in Sister's Marie married Robert (Bob) Hatherill in Powell Butte, Oregon in 1951. Marie moved to Prineville in 1953, when Bob served in the military she moved back to Sisters for a short while then back to Prineville.
Marie enjoyed sewing, cross stitching, quilting, playing the piano, loved to cook and most of all her reading and her two doggies Snickers and Cocoa. Marie will be missed by all her many friends and her family.
Marie is survived by her loving kind husband Bob Hatherill of Prineville, Ore.; five children Linda Perrin-Gholson of Prineville, Ore. Gary Hatherill of Prineville Jim Hatherill of Prineville, Ore. Sue Hatherill of Biloxi, Miss., Alisa Rockwood of Prineville, Ore. 2 brothers Bill Bembry of Salem, Ore. Joe Bembry of Chino Valley, Ariz., 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Marie is preceded in death by her parents.
