Rosa Eleanor Balluff was born in Clayton county, Jan. 10, 1867, and died Jan 14, 1951. She was the daughter of Victor and Mary Mullen Balluff and was the eldest of ten sisters and two brothers. Her education was received in the rural schools and Strawberry Point after which she taught school for several years.

On November 26, 1890, she married Fred Everett. They had four sons and four daughters of whom living are Mrs. Florence Dunsmoor, Independence; Gerald Everett, Edgewood and Clarence at home.
