Bernice Wilder Harris, 91 of Lake City, passed away on February 1, 2018 at the Haven Suwannee Valley Hospice Care Center. She was born on May 7, 1926 in Perry, FL and was a longtime resident of Lake City. She retired from the Lake City Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lake City. Bernice was widowed three times and is preceded in death by husbands James A. McCollum, Ray Hughes, and Clyde Harris.
She is survived by children, Linda McCollum Creamer (the late Calvin Creamer), Billy McCollum and Gary (Susan) McCollum; five Grandchildren, Amy (David) Brown, Angie (Paul) Anschultz, Abby (Mike) Stalvey, Bradley (Katie) McCollum, Brian McCollum, Kevin Stanley (Julie); and four Great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, February 5, 2018 at 12:00 Noon and the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Lonnie Johns of Christ Central officiating. Interment will follow a Memorial Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service on Monday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Haven Suwannee Valley Hospice Care Center at 6037 W US Hwy 90, Lake City, FL 32055.
