Excerpt--On last Thursday at 3 o'clock W. H. Bailey was instantly killed by an explosion of dynamite while working in the mines. Bailey was tamping, while Martin Fortney was placing it. Bailey was killed instantly and Fortney was seriously injured. Mr. Bailey was a young, respected and admired, man of about 27. The funeral took place at Shay's Chapel and was attended by a large concourse of friends and relatives.
