Ruth married Holman Eastes Dec. 22, 1836 in Rush County, Indiana. They had 12 children: Lemuel Franklin Eastes, Addison S Eastes. Lucinda A. Eastes Ward, Dr. William Thomas Eastes, Sarah Jane Eastes Kelsey, Jasper Newton Eastes, Leonidas L. Eastes, Marshall T. Eastes, Albert O Eastes, Jesse Eugenia Eastes Ward, Meredith Pinkney Eastes, and Jerome S. Eastes.
Holman died in 1880. Ruth married a second time to Henry Shanehulser on Feb. 14, 1884. Henry died in 1893. Obviously there were no children from this union because of Ruth's age.
Ruth appears in the 1900 census twice, once with her son Lemuel as Ruth Shanehulser, and once as Ruth Eastes with her son Marshall. The 1900 census says she had 12 children with 7 living.
In the 1850 Census her 1/2 sister Sarah J. Larkin is living with her.

Her father dying a short time before her birth. Her mother was a widow twice at age 20 years. After 8 years she married Thomas Lakins and they were born four children; Simon, Sarah, Caroline and James of Rush Co., IN. Ruth Webb married Holman Eastes 22 December 1836. Jonathon Webb Jr. had two sisters Rachel and Ruth. Rachel married John George and Ruth married Hugh Briston of VA.
