Jewell Hayse Patterson and her older sister Eula Pina Patterson were the daughters of Albert H Patterson and Nannie Jackson Patterson. They were orphaned at a young age and were raised by their maternal grandparents, Rosetta Jane Sewell Jackson and James Pryor Jackson.
BETHEL SPRINGS - Jewell Patterson Milford, 91, retired cook for McNairy County School System, died of heart failure Friday at Cordova Rehabilitation Center, Memphis, Tennessee. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Shackelford Funeral Home of Selmer, TN with burial in Lake Hill Memory Gardens Cemetery, Bethel Springs, TN.
She was a member of Bethel Springs United Pentecostal Church. Mrs. Milford, the widow of Bob Milford, leaves three daughters, Ruth Pickett of Oakland, Faye Owen of Eads and Vickie Whitaker of Cumming, Ga.; three sons, Welton Milford of Bethel Springs, Jim Milford of Memphis and Joe Milford of Selmer, 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
