Richard H. Allen, 65, of Auburn died Saturday.
He was born in Polk County and had resided in Barrow County since 1974. He was preceded in death by a son, Rick Allen and his father, Howard Allen. He was a retired electronics repairman with Smith, Kline & Beecham Electronics Co. of Chamblee.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Allen, Auburn daughter, Pam Sanders, Auburn sons, Greg Allen, Loganville, and Mark Allen, Snellville mother, Iris Allen O'Kelley, Carrollton sisters, Joan Huey, South Carolina, and Marion Henderson, Carrolton brothers, Charles Allen, Louisiana, Delano Allen, Cedartown, and Jerry Allen and Doyle Allen, both of Carrolton five grandchildren two great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral services are scheduled for 4 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2001, at Carter Funeral Home. The Rev. Kenneth Deaton will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
