Mr. Charles William Belew, 67, of Clarksburg, Tennessee, died Sunday, January 18, 2009 at the Henderson County Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Clarksburg Church of Christ. Interment will follow in the Sellers Hill Cemetery. Brother Clint Hopper, Brother Bill Crossno and Brother Bobby Pinckley will officiate the services.

Mr. Belew was born July 1, 1941, in Clarksburg, Tennessee. He was a self-employed machine operator and farmer. He was a member of the Clarksburg Church of Christ where he served as an elder and the Clarksburg Water Board. He was preceded in death by his father, Ezra Lewis Belew.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Faye Belew, two daughters, Kayla Belew, Robin and Thomas "Spud" Luther, all of Clarksburg, Tennessee, his mother, Lela Alma Belew, of Clarksburg, Tennessee, three sisters, Martha and Russell Webb, of Lexington, Tennessee, Ann and J. W. Noles, of Antioch, Tennessee, Deborah and Johnny Newman, of Tyler, Texas. He also leaves three grandchildren, Nicholas and Shannon Luther, Dustin Luther and Hope Douglas, and Scott Luther and Monica Kyle, and three great grandchildren, Haley, Abby and Emily.

Pallbearers who served were Michael Smith, Max Cary, Tony Hunley, Johnny Newman, J. W. Noles and Russell Webb. Honorary pallbearers who served were Robert Thompson, Randall Roark, Mike Cobb, Merel Smith, Kenny Peterson and Gerald Brandon.
