Perry L. Aynes
Perry L. Aynes of Seymour died Thursday, February 2, 1995, at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Seymour. He left survivors in Brown County.
Mr. Aynes, 75, had been ill four months.
He was born June 19, 1919, in Clearspring to Clifton and Myrtle Hovis Aynes.
He and Esther L. Wineinger were married March 28, 1973, in North Vernon. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Robert L. Aynes of Freetown and Kenneth R. Aynes of Reddington; two step-sons, Roger Martin of Nashville and Steve Martin of Brownstown; a step-daughter, Linda Kamman of Seymour; a brother, Clifton Ellis "Jim" Aynes of Crothersville; three sisters, Gladys Silence and Virginia Stidham, both of Brownstown, and Mary Alice Toppe of Ceres, California; four adopted children; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Justin Aynes; and a brother, Floyd Aynes
Mr. Aynes retired after a 30-year career with Seymour Manufacturing.
A United States Army veteran, he was a life member of the Brownstown Veterans of Foreign
Wars and a past commander of the Brownstown American Legion.
Mr. Aynes was a member of the Seymour Christian Church and the Knights of Pythias. He was a former member of the Crothersville Masonic Lodge.
The Reverend William Scott conducted a private funeral service Saturday morning, February 4, at the Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home in Seymour.
Burial and military graveside rites were at the Fairview Cemetery in Brownstown.
Memorials may be made to the Seymour Christian Church Building Fund or the Project Timothy Scholarship Fund.
