Mildred Elaine Bryan Tate, 86 died at her home in Tooele February 1, 2004. She was born March 15, 1917 in Tooele Utah to Harry and Millie Vorwaller Bryan. She married LaVar Tate July 10, 1937 In Tooele Utah. Together they raised three children. LaVar died April 25, 2001. Mildred spent her life in support of her husband and family. In 1942 Mildred and LaVar purchased the Tate Mortuary and for many years, Mildred served as telephone receptionist and beautician. In her later years, she enjoyed traveling with the close friends they were privileged to know in the funeral profession and insurance industry. She was very proud of her many years as a member of the Women's Utah Motor Transport Association. Her last years were spent in her home in Tooele which she loved dearly. Mildred is survived by her three children: Camille (Enoch) Eskelson, Park City; JoLene (John) Miller and Earl (Margie) Tate, both of Tooele. 11 grandchildren and 19 great- grandchildren and her sister Joyce West of Roy, Utah. In addition to LaVar, she is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Clyde and Harry Bryan, a granddaughter Jackie White Kimber and a great-grandson Cole Miller. Funeral Services will be held Thursday February 5, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. in the Tate Mortuary Chapel 110 S. Main in Tooele. Friends may call Wed., evening from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday prior to services from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Interment will follow in the Tooele City Cemetery. The family wishes to express special thanks to mom's dear friend, Lucy Chuculate for her friendship, companionship and loving care.
