MICHAEL EVERETT PRATT passed away Monday, February 2, 2009, in the Pawhuska Nursing Home. He was 61 years old.
Michael was born March 3, 1947 in Hominy, Oklahoma, the son of Charles A. and Lottie Shunkamolah Pratt, Sr. On March 16, 1988, he married the former Patricia A. Barnes in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Michael was a member of the Osage Tribe of Indians.
Surviving family include: His wife: Patricia Pratt of the home; His children: Angela Pelayo of Sand Springs, OK; Courtney Buffalomeat of Seiling, OK; Michael E. Pratt, Jr., of Lawrence, KS; Kristen L. Pratt of Pawhuska, OK; Nicole J. Pratt of Sand Springs, OK; Two brothers: Charles A. Pratt, Jr., of Hominy, OK; Steven B. Pratt and wife, Merry C. Pratt, of Edmond, OK; Eight grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his parents.
Traditional Indian services will be held Thursday, February 5, at 10:00 AM in the Hominy Indian Village Community Center, Hominy, Oklahoma. Steven Pratt will officiate. Interment will be in the A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery, Hominy.
