TUPELO - Lonnie Doyle Loden, 67, died Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at the Community Hospice at Darlington Oaks in Verona. He was born Feb. 2, 1940, in Tupelo to the late Hollis and Ruby Stephens Loden. He was a Baptist and a U.S. Navy veteran, serving on the USS Cimerron. He worked at several different occupations all over the South, including the Memphis Meat Packers in Memphis and Shipley Do-Nuts in Tupelo. He was a greyhound dog trainer in Florida and Alabama, where he trained an Alabama state champion. He was an avid NASCAR fan.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Holland-Harris Funeral Directors Tupelo Chapel with Bro. Lee Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Doty Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
