Marie traveled from Russia, to Germany, and ultimately to the US in 1903 with her parents and 6 of her 8 siblings. They left Hamburg on nov 13th, 1903 on the SS Pretoria; and arrived nov 27 in Ellis Island, NY. Destination on Manifest: Norfolk Nebraska.
By 1910 the family had moved from Nebraska to Evans, Weld county, Colorado.
On 8 Dec 1912 Marie Meyer married Jacob Schwindt at
St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Globeville, Denver, Colorado. Witnesses/Parents: John Haubert, Eugen Eichhorn.
They moved to Johnstown in 1913, and several years later moved to the Berthoud Community where they spent the rest of their lives. They were members of the Salem Congregational Church in Berthoud.
