Harold Leland Fretwell, 83, of Lake Alfred FL., formerly of Kingwood died Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Winter Haven Hospital with family at his side.
He was born March 9, 1925, in Rowlesburg, a son of the late John O. and Wahneeta Boogher Fretwell.
He was a 1943 graduate of Kingwood High School and attended Strayer Business College in Washington, D. C. He served in the US Army during World War II. He was employed by the B & O Railroad for 18 years in various positions. He was a member of AF & AM, Robert White Lodge 67 in Martinsburg, WV and the Tall Cedars of Lebanon. While living in Martinsburg he served on the city council. He was a part-owner of General Electronics in Washington and served as their Secretary-Treasurer. After moving to Florida he held several accounting positions including Manager of the H & R Block tax office. He lived in Indian Lake Estates and was the Business and Office Manager for the community.
He is survived by his wife, Luella Leonard Fretwell, daughter Janet and spouse, Michael Colby of Miami, FL; two sons, Mark and spouse, Kim Fretwell of Winter Garden, FL and Keith and spouse, Susan Fretwell of Canon City, CO; six grandchildren, Christopher and Melinda Colby, Sandra Bartlett, Sarah, Robert and Haleigh Fretwell and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Jean Fretwell, two sisters, Ruth Harrison and Marian Groves and a brother, John Fretwell.

Friends may call at Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood on Monday, February 2, 2009 from 2-8 pm where funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Tuesday, February 3 with Reverend Winfield Mayle officiating.
