Lloyd H. Shilling, 90, of Distant, died at 12:15 p.m. Monday, August 3, 1992, at his home.
Born July 1, 1902, in Distant, Armstrong County, he was a son of Calvin and Eva (Shumaker) Shilling.
He married Mable Beer on December 25, 1923. She preceded him in death on November 1979.
He then married Kathryn Schoonover on January 17, 1981. She survives.
Mr. Shilling was self-employed at the family farm in Distant.
He was a Surge milker representative for area farmers. He also was previously employed in local coal mines and the Climax Brick Yard.
Mr. Shilling was a member of the Distant Baptist Church.
In addition to his second wife, survivors include two sons, Calvin Shilling of Distant and Spurgeon Shilling of New Bethlehem; one step-son, Loren Eaton of Lake Forest, Ill.; one step-daughter, Margretta O'Brien of Hanover; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; one sister, June Beer of Distant; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife; one son, Junior Shilling; and a brother, Homer Shilling.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today (Wednesday) in the McNaughton-Rupert Funeral Home, New Bethlehem.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. Lyle Westover, pastor of Distant Baptist Church, officiating.
Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery at Distant.
