A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006, in the activities room of Vineyard Place Retirement Center in Milwaukie for Wava A. Hollingsworth, who died Jan. 18 at age 92.
Wava A. Lear was born Dec. 14, 1913, in Springview, Neb. She lived in Hermiston and Woodburn before moving to Damascus in 1945. She was a seamstress for Jantzen Knitting Mills for 11 years and later a certified scrub technician for several hospitals, retiring from Providence Milwaukie Medical Center. She moved to Milwaukie in 2002. In 1931, she married W. Wayne; he died in 1977.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Lear; son, Roger; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
