Jimmie Lee Alldredge

A memorial service for Jimmie Lee Alldredge, 82, of Lake Whitney, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, p.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sweetwater, located at the corner of 10th and Elm Streets.

Arrangements are made with Lawson Funeral Home of Meridian.

Alldredge died Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, in Lake Whitney.

He was born Nov. 5, 1926, in Sweetwater to A.B. and Kay Alldredge. He graduated from Sweetwater High School, then served in the Army Air Corps. Alldredge was a veteran of WWII and Korea.

He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1950, then worked for United States Gypsum. He ran Alldredge Appliance Company for several years in downtown Sweetwater and later worked for Texas State Technical College until his retirement.

Survivors include his beloved wife Joyce Henington Alldrege; one son, Jimmie Lee Alldredge II and wife Cindie; one daughter, Jeanette Borries and husband Drew; grandchildren, Peter Alldrede, Jamie Alldredge, Craig Alldredge, Tje Alldredge, Amelia McBeth, Cory Alldredge, Cameron Caitlin and Carson Alldredge, Sharon Warshaw, Cary Long and Felicity and Alex Borries. He also leaves 10 great-grandchildren.
