The 1900 census of Lamar, Randolph County, Alabama, shows: Wm. F. BAILEY, Sr. (born Jan 1816 in North Carolina - both parents North Carolina, a farmer) & wife Margaret (Jan 1834, SC - both parents SC). who had been married 49 years; she had borne 10 children, 9 of whom were still living at that time. Also present in the household are sons (both single and born in Alabama): Warner (Feb. 1875) & General R. (Feb. 1878). Next door on one side is Wm. F. BAILEY, Jr. (July 1881) with wife and child, then Jas. H. (Feb. 1861) with wife & 5 children - and next door on the other side, Frasier BAILY (Jan 1874) with wife.
