Services for Willie (Bill) Blackburn, 68, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church, Stratford. The Rev. Leo Cornelius will conduct the services, assisted by the Rev. Carl Shivers. Burial will be in McGee Cemetery under the direction of the Stratford-Pickard Funeral Home.
Mr. Blackburn died Saturday May 23, 1970 in a Pauls Valley hospital after a long illness. He was born August 12, 1901, in Ada, I.T. He had lived in the Stratford area most of his life.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys, of the home; four daughters, Jean Shipley and Willene Ernest, both of Joshua, Texas, Anita Russell, Stratford, and Roberta Jones, Willingboro, N.J.; one son, Ronald, Stratford; two brothers, Tom and Jack Blackburn, both of Stratford; two sisters, Ina Eeds, Stratford, and Addie Carrol, Flomont, Texas; 18 grandchildren.
