He was a member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church for over 40 years before joining the Eastside Baptist Church in Richton. he was in the pulpwood business for 35 years. He retired after 15 years of service with the Ms. State Highway Dept in maintenance.
He is survived by his wife, Juanice Brownlee Walley, two sons, Rayvon Walley of New Agusta and Royce L. Walley of Richton; six daughters, Barbara A. Newell and Bonnie J. Walley, both of Richton, Reese Thompson of Pinola, Brenda A. Pearce of Petal, Doris Masters of Hattiesburg and Donna C. Meadows of Escatawpa; one sister, Cynthia Brownlee of Richton; one brother, Burness Walley of Pascagoula; 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
