MRS. ANNIE WHITE
IS LAID TO REST
AT THOMASVILLE

Thomasville, Ga. July 10 - funeral
services for Mrs. Annie S. White, who
died at John D. Archbold Memorial
hospital here Sunday afternoon were
conducted, yesterday by Rev. T. F.
Callaway, pastor of the Thomasville
First Baptist church. Interment was
in the churchyard of Evergreen Bap-
tist church in Brooks county, where
Mrs. White's husband, Rev. Thomas
A. White, was buried seven years ago.
Mrs. White was 80 years of age,
having been born in Conyers, Ga., in
May 1848, and was married to Mr. White,
who then resided in Oxford Ga., in 1866.
Her husband was a minister of the Baptist
denomination, and they resided in Thomas
county for 35 years. Mr. White serv-
ing as pastor of Fredonia church, and
several smaller Baptist churches in
the county for a number of years until
his retirement from active service.
a short time before his death. No
children were born to this couple, but,
they are survived by a number of
nieces and nephews in this section.
