The Decatur Daily - Saturday, November 9, 2002:

Funeral for Julia E. Gray, 78, of Trinity will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. J.T. Lowery and James Spunk Whitlock officiating.
Burial will be in Bellview Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 5 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Gray died Friday, Nov. 8, 2002, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born July 16, 1924, in Morgan County, to Herbert and Lottie Lowery. She was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Olar Gray.
Survivors include three sons, James Gray and Harold Shoemaker, both of Trinity, and Allison Shoemaker of Dawsonville, Ga.; three daughters, Doris Smith and Dora Gray, both of Trinity, and Ann Higginbotham of Hartselle; two stepsons, Willard Gray of Decatur and Kenneth Gray of Trinity; three stepdaughters, Josephine Sanford of Trinity, Freda Lowery of Decatur and Thelma Moses of Decatur; three sisters, Clendora Dodd of Trinity, Lillian McCleskey of Hartselle and Ann Mae Rose of Paw Paw, Mich.; 17 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Radford, Lonnie "Steve" Hampton, Ricky White, Don Owens, Darrell Gray and Dale Gray.
