She was born April 22, 1918, in Coshocton County, O., a daughter of the late L. Jean (Jones) Angle and Walter L. Angle. She was a 1936 Newcomerstown High School graduate and attended office training school in Columbus, O., for one year. She was employed by Hellers Brothers and was a housewife. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Newcomerstown and was very active in the community and church, helped with Bible School, PTA and Cub Scouts, was a band mother and supported all sporting events.
On Feb. 6, 1943, she married Lewis B. Craigo, who died Oct. 28, 1985.
Surviving are one daughter, Miriam Schott and husband Marvin of Bowling Green; one son, Bernard Craigo of Groveport; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Ellie Emler of Cambridge. Evelyn was the oldest out of five children.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sylvia G. Craigo; a brother, Wayne Angle; and two sisters, Thelma Warner and Virginia Meek.
Services will be held at Addy Funeral Home on Monday, April 28, 2008, beginning at 1 p.m. with Pastor Tom Barber officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery at Newcomerstown, O. Visitation will be in Addy Funeral Home on Sunday, April 27, 2008, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and at Addy Funeral Home Monday, April 28, 2008, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 135 S.
